Ayers Family Farm – Where Moments Become Memories 🐴🌾💛

At Ayers Family Farm, we offer more than just a venue—we offer a place where hearts connect, healing begins, and life’s most meaningful moments are celebrated with love. Nestled in the peaceful countryside, our family-run farm is home to wide-open skies, gentle horses, and the kind of calm that lets you breathe a little deeper.

We host weddings, birthday parties, graduations, support groups, nature walks, and community events in a warm, rustic setting filled with charm and heart. Whether you're gathering for joy or reflection, every event here is met with care, intention, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family.

We also welcome volunteers and local groups—schools, scouts, and veterans’ programs—to experience connection and purpose through hands-on experiences with animals, nature, and meaningful projects around the farm.

When you choose Ayers Family Farm, you're not just booking a space—you're becoming part of a story rooted in love, legacy, and the belief that every life deserves celebration, healing, and belonging.

    Nature Hike

A Walk to Remember – Forest & Creekside Nature Hike for All Ages and Veterans 🌲💧❤️

There’s something deeply healing about being in nature—the way the trees stand tall and steady, the way the creek never stops flowing, gently reminding us to keep moving forward. Our Forest & Creekside Nature Hike is more than just a walk through the woods—it’s a chance to breathe, to reconnect, and to find peace in the simple beauty that surrounds us.

Winding through quiet forest trails and along a soft, babbling creek, this hike is designed for everyone—young and old, families and individuals, and especially our veterans who carry stories and strength that deserve space and stillness. Here, under the shade of the trees and beside the calming water, you’ll find room to rest your heart, clear your mind, and just be.

Children find wonder in every leaf and stone. Parents slow down and soak in moments that often pass too quickly. And for veterans, these walks offer a quiet kind of healing—a place where the weight of the world can feel a little lighter.

There’s no rush. No pressure. Just nature, and the quiet comfort of walking together.

    What You'll Experience:

Peaceful, easy trails through forest and alongside the creek

Resting spots to pause, reflect, or simply listen

A welcoming space for all ages and backgrounds

A gentle, grounding experience for veterans seeking calm

Optional guided walks with space for conversation or silence

Come as you are. Leave with a lighter heart.
This is a walk of healing, hope, and quiet connection—and we’d be honored to share it with you.

    Meet the Horses

A Moment of Connection – Meeting the Rescue Horses in the Pasture 🐎💛🌿

There’s a quiet kind of magic that happens when you step into the pasture and meet the rescue horses for the first time. The world slows down. The noise fades. And suddenly, it’s just you, the open sky, and a gentle herd of souls who’ve known both hurt and healing.

As you approach, the horses lift their heads—curious, calm, and welcoming. Some may come right up to you, drawn by your presence. Others hang back, watching with wise, kind eyes. There’s no rush, no expectation. Just the gift of being fully present, sharing space with animals who understand what it means to survive and to trust again.

You don’t have to say a word. They seem to know when your heart is heavy, or when you simply need to feel seen. In their quiet company, many guests experience something hard to explain but impossible to forget—a deep, grounding connection that brings comfort, clarity, and peace.

These horses, once broken or abandoned, now offer something extraordinary: the chance to heal alongside them.

It’s not just a visit—it’s an experience that stays with you. One moment of stillness. One breath of fresh air. One gentle nudge from a horse who reminds you that healing is possible.

    Volunteering or Partnering with us

Be a Part of Something Meaningful – Volunteer with Us 🐴🛠🌿

At Mae’s Haven, every helping hand becomes part of a much bigger story—one of healing, hope, and heart. When you volunteer with us, you're not just lending your time. You're joining a mission that’s rooted in compassion and built on community.

Whether you're gently brushing a rescue horse, giving them a warm bath, or simply spending quiet time earning their trust, you'll feel the bond that grows between people and animals who both know what it means to heal. For many of our horses, human kindness is still a new gift—and your presence helps them learn to trust again.

Out on the land, volunteers help clear forest trails, clean and build safe, enriching animal habitats, and even assist in larger projects like constructing tiny homes for veterans in need of stability and peace. Each task, big or small, contributes to a place that offers shelter—not just for animals, but for people who come here to feel seen, supported, and at home.

We’re also growing, and we’re excited to partner with schools, youth programs, and service organizations—including field trips, Girl Scout and Eagle Scout projects, FFA high school programs, veteran support groups, and more. Whether you're a student looking to earn hours, a troop working toward a badge, or a veteran wanting to give back or reconnect, there's a place here for you.

Volunteering at Mae’s Haven is more than just work. It’s a chance to make a difference, to be part of something healing and lasting—and to know that your hands are helping build a better, kinder world.

Come join us. Let’s build something beautiful—together.

Meet Robert and Mandy Ayers

High school sweethearts since the ages of 18 and 16, Robert and Mandy Ayers have built a life rooted in love, hard work, and purpose. Together, they’ve raised three beautiful daughters—Jordan, Juliauna, and Joslyn—dedicating themselves to creating a meaningful legacy for their family and community.

Robert is a proud Iraq War veteran who continues to serve in a different way—tirelessly caring for the animals and maintaining the farm with dedication and heart. Mandy, a compassionate hospice nurse by night and animal caretaker by day, brings deep empathy and strength to everything she does. Both share a passion for helping others and making a difference in the lives around them.

In August 2021, their world was forever changed by the unimaginable loss of their daughter, Juliauna Mae, to suicide. Out of this profound grief, Robert and Mandy turned their heartbreak into healing—and Mae’s Haven was born.

Mae’s Haven is their labor of love and hope, created as a safe space for both people and animals to heal. They’ve since rescued seven horses and now offer equine therapy to support guests on their own journeys through pain, recovery, and growth.

At Mae’s Haven, healing happens in the quiet moments—among kind-hearted animals, under open skies, and in the presence of people who truly care. Robert and Mandy are honored to share this space with others, keeping Juliauna’s memory alive through every life they touch.
